Prepare for IPO and Raise Visibility
Situation

We worked with a medical diagnostics company for more than two years in advance of its IPO, with a focus on raising visibility among analysts, investors, thought-leading doctors and influential media, while also preparing the Company for life as a public company.

Strategy & Tactics
  • We established a fully functional external IR / Corporate Communications function with trained spokespeople, an understanding of Reg FD and experience dealing with investor and media inquiries.
  • We worked to raise the company’s visibility in advance of an IPO via targeted media appearances and participation in investor conferences.
  • We developed an IPO presentation focused on the company’s unique R&D assets, affordable and effective treatment and diagnostics-based marketing infrastructure.
Results
  • The company was the fifth best-performing IPO stock during the quarter it went public.
  • Stock offered a return of 112% in post IPO period, vs. average of 38%.
  • Secured analyst coverage from Sidoti & Co. and connected with other potential covering analysts.
  • We arranged for presentations at eight investor conferences and conducted 12 non-deal roadshows with analysts and investors.
  • We conducted a satellite media tour resulting in coverage from 20 local and national radio and TV stations with a combined total of between 7 and 10 million viewers/listeners (Fox TV, Ion TV).
